On Dec. 22 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m, there will be a winter fundraiser ran by 2 organizations to help residents of Windsor take care of their pets. It will be located at Stop and Shop on 1095 Kennedy Rd Windsor, Connecticut 06095.

The Friends of Windsor Animal Care and the Control Pet Food Pantry will receive some help from Windsor High School’s Community Service Program and coordinator of the program Steve Bianchi.

These organizations are looking for the following items to be donated at the fundraiser:

 

  • Small bags of dry cat or dog food
  • Soft dog food (Cesar/Pedigree cups and pouches)
  • Canned cat and dog food
  • Cat litter

Students are welcome to join the cause and help out the community. For students interested in participating, there is a signup sheet on the Community Service bulletin board in the A- hall or  students may sign up with Steven Bianchi. This event can counts towards students community service hours.
